I have plasti dipped my previous vehicles, 2011 Tahoe and a 2014 Silverado because I hate chrome. Was on the fence about plastidipping the GS but now that I see it I think I will do mine as well.

This is a very general statement and IMO its very bad advice. For example, in my state (NY) its not 30 bucks fix it ticket. It is a $218 fine, can be issued to a parked car or on a vehicle stop, and depending on how badly you've annoyed the cop, as it can can result in a court appearance if he writes for improper plates. They can also ticket you for dirty/improperly secured plates here in NY.
Before anyone decides to roll with no front plate in a state that requires one, PLEASE do the research for your state and make sure you're okay with the ramifications if/when you are caught.

For my state it isn't nearly as serious, again they only require a front plate so they can ticket people who dont have one. If it was really a necessity or a requirement the front plate area would have lighting for nighttime
