Default how to properly jack up a lowered 4gs fsport

based on what I see in the owners manual, if I want to lift the car with a floor jack, I need to use the jacking point under the front cross member or rear axel. my floor jack will slide under the car, but being lowered on tanabe springs, I can't reach the jack points and have room to pump up the jack. what method are you guys using?

I am also lowered on Tanabe. You will need two jacks, jack one side until you can get the other jack to the front cross member. Once you make contact with the front cross member, lower the side jack and use just the front jack. When you need to lower, just put the side jack back on... you know what to do.

I'm on Tanabe and I use a low profile jack. Your average jack won't do it.

The alternative is to go to Home Depot and buy some 2x10 woods. You'll need at least 2 pieces about 3' long. Place in front of your front wheels. Then drive your car on top of it. You might need to double up depending on your jack. That should give you enough room to put jack under jack points.

They also sell ramps but if cheap HD wood works why not.

This is the jack I use:

http://www.otctools.com/products/2-ton-service-jack-ultra-low-profile

I've had it for about 7-8 years and I love it. Did have to bring it in for service about 5 years ago under warranty for a seal leak. It's low enough to reach under the 4GS/ Tanabe jack point in the front. I also used it when I had the Vettes.

Another vote for driving up some wood first. I've had super low cars in the past and it works every time
