I was able to get 27 MPG for driving 35 miles at 70 MPH with cruise control on. If I drive longer miles I think I can hit 30s.

Reset and roll down a hill and you may hit 50 MPG.

I just traded my 2011 BMW 535 M Sport on a 2014 GS350 F . I am only on my 4th full tank of gas and can definitely say that so far the BMW got better gas mileage. I used to average 23-25 mpg in the 5 and with doing the same exact driving in the GS, I am averaging 18. Maybe this is just because the GS is still breaking in but I am surprised.

Default ECO mode?

When driving my Lexus or current BMW, I noticed a slight improvement in MPG when I drive in "ECO" mode (Lexus) or "comfort" mode (BMW) instead of the car's "Sport +" modes. In both cars, the transmission shift points are sooner rather than staying in the higher revs longer, and will shift into the highest gear sooner meaning less revs while cruising.
Not as fun as "Sport" mode, of course, but perhaps this is the way to better MPG when you need it?

After reseting and refuling, I can say that YEP I get 18MPG 50% city, and 50% HWY. When I drive on the HWY I get close to 23MPG

It's been 1 year as of June 1st for me with the GS FSport. 9k+ miles. I average about 17MPG, 70% city and 30% freeway. Best mileage I have had was 26+MPG on a road trip and worse was 14MPG all city driving. I didn't buy the car to save on gas though.

It seems mpg's vary widely between different members in this forum. I dont know why you guys are getting so bad mpg's condidering I drive normally and not trying to hypermill the car. I occasionally take freeway on ramps at full throttle and my average might go from 25mpg to 23mpg in a tankfull. I think it has something to do with Toyota and maby you guys engines is running with more fuel to air ratio? I dont know just a random guess.

In m y case it has to do with living in Chicago and we have crazy traffic. There's a lot of start and stopping driving in the city.
