Is there a setting to turn it oFF, i know that there is a switch but it seems that as soon as you turn the car off, the Trac is turned back On

 

I believe it has to be manually changed each time the car is turned off

There's an expensive piece of hardware you can install if you want a hard on/off toggle for traction. But keep in mind, when TC is off, it's OFF. Nothing will save you from yourself or tricky road conditions if you disable it, and insurance may pull the data from your black box in an accident and see you had it turned off. If they can prove it would have prevented you from crashing, you may be eating part of your claim. Just saying, things to consider.
