My wife came in with a "hang dog" look on her face a couple of weeks ago and said "Go look at the car." There was a deep scratch along the driver's rocker panel and extending to the left quarter part of the rear bumper cover. It's about $375 to replace the rocker panel but a new bumper cover is almost 4 times that. The scratches are deep enough that the primer is exposed.

Can these be repaired economically or will it always look like it's been fixed?

That cover can be repaired no problem, they'll paint it, blend it into the rest of the bumper and then clear cost the whole bumper cover. Probably $700 or so.

Yeah like SW13GS said its repairable, when I had my accident it was repaired, mine wasnt as bad as that but had close hole from the person's license plate and they fixed it.

Wish I lived near you. I was quote over $700 for a repair job.

For a cheap on the car repair job. If you want it to look right, especially on silver it needs to be done right, cover has to come off the car. $700.

Yeah to add make sure they paint your car the right color, make sure you see it in light and in dark.
