It will only display text messages on the screen when you are completely stopped. Otherwise the lady attempts to read them to you.

Didn't realize that existing SMS would not show. I'll have to have someone send me a text when I'm in the car, and it's standing still. Thx!

You'll get a notification through the car. It will show who the message is from. However, if you're moving, it will not display the message. If driving you can hit accept or ignore. If accepted she will read the message to you. (Disclaimer....everything I have described is what iOS does. I have no idea what Android does.)

Yes, it works with Android.

Mine works fine recognizing, reading, and displaying texts. What I can't get to work is replying with the canned messages. Always brings up an error message when trying to reply. (iPhone 7).

Unfortunately Apple doesn't support this function with the iPhone.
