There are a bunch of screws that hold it in from the back side, once you take the door panel off, it's obvious what you need to do to take the trim off.

Problem is when you replace, it can just as easily get dinged up again. The seatbelt hits it sometimes when it retracts. I have bamboo trim in my 450h and looks perfect, not even a scratch. You could try pushing out the dings yourself once you take it off or see if a PDR place can pull out the dings without taking the panel off.

Yea they're pretty dinged up, i just purchased the car off my friend who gave me a pretty good deal, appreciate the ideas about the pdr/pushing them out myself.

There was a TSB on the aluminum trim. Dealer replaced mine for free. The dings never came back since then.
