Sudden loss of power

Thanks islanbeef. I hope its related and they'll find some codes, maybe a censor is going out, which would not necessary show up on the dash, but will come up on their diagnostic tool.
By the way, this problem started shortly after I got my brake pedal recall done. Maybe they messed something up?

From what I hear from both Indy & Dealer techs, the latest cars are so computerized with software integration. Any type of updates or changes, something will go wrong. And usually, only the dealership can do the certified repair.
Sounds like a big conspiracy.

It was fixed, thank god. What happened was, they tighten some switch a little too much during the brake recall. This caused the car to think that occasionally I was pressing gas and brakes pedals at the same time, so the car just killed the accelerator.

Glad to hear your dealer took care of it and all is well now.

U still can brake torque and jet from the lights, the system only activates at speeds above 30 MPH. If it detects u trying to slow down by pressing the brake pedal, it just cuts off the throttle. Toyota added this feature after the massive recalls involving the stuck accelerator pedal.

Glad to hear it worked out. When I got my recall on the brakes, they also "accidentally broke" a speed sensor...Not sure how it happened but my car had to sit for another day. I was "compensated" with a full tank of (probably 87) gas...yay
