Should not need to blend into the quarter panels for this. There's a little damage to the edge of the rear quarter, I would have that buffed and touched up instead of having that panel painted.
Mine was an insurance claim and there was NO damage to the quarter panel. I recall seeing 5 hrs. Labour on the estimate for blending in the paint. Never in my wildest dreams did I think they would sand and paint the quarter panel in order to blend! So I was left confused how anyone could get away with charging five hours labour to blend a bumper, but hey insurance is paying for it so it must be legit.
I was none too happy when I found out they touched the original paint, and to boot you could see the blend job. So it had to go back to have all the imperfections they created, fixed.
As I said to the shop foreman, Why would you touch a body panel that wasn't damaged when the plastic bumper looks a slightly different color anyway. Even brand new you can see the platic parts look a little different.
No good answer, just a way of getting more $$ out of the insurance company!
