20% all around. But I'd check local laws too. Some cities/states are more picky than others.

Yeah CA doesn't allow window tint on front windows or windshields but 20% sounds good. I just don't want it too light or too dark so i won't be able to see at night. Anyone with suggestions for tint on windshields?

IiRC CA is sticklers on compliance laws. Front windshield is illegal in every state unless you have a medical permit.

I did 35% all the way around with 50% on my windshield using ceramic tints. Formula one pinnacle tints to be exact. I wish I would have went darker on the windows though. 20% would be perfect.

Just got my window tint redone. Took off the cheap film and replaced it with 3M Color Stable 20 all around and 3M Crystalline 70 for the windshield. My car feels so nice and cool in this 90 degree Cali weather.

Anyone with 3M color stable notice how light the tint is? I keep looking at my car and the tint looks to be really light for 20%.

The rears look dark. The front seems a little lighter. Could be due to the windshield tho

I forgot to mention i have the rear shade up. Still, even with it up it seems that the tint is still light. I think the 3M film might be a little lighter than other brands in general. I noticed that on the 3M crystalline 70 display wall had a light tint to it. Now that it's on the windshield it looks like it's not even there.

thanks! No problem at night. The installer, Buckeye Sun Control, said 35% is what you see on SUVs and trucks from the factory. Anything darker than 35% may cause a problem at night according to them.

I have limo on the rear windows and back window on both my RX and GS. I have no issues seeing out at night. If you live out in the country with no street lights then you might have slight difficulty but in the city it's no issues at all. I would highly recommend it actually. I love my privacy. I went with 20% on the front two windows on the GS and feel they are too light for my taste, but I'll keep'em to avoid any unwanted attention from the law.

I think the tint settled in. Now it seems to be dark enough for me after seeing it at night. During the day its a little light looking out but looking in its dark enough for me. The 3M crystalline preforms so well!!! My car use to be blistering hot when getting in my car in the afternoon. Now I just leave the sunroof cracked and its all cool in my car now. It's unbelievable how well this film blocks out the heat. Highly recommended it if you're willing to spend a little more. Anyone else have any input on their window tint? POST SOME PICs OF YOUR GS WITH WINDOW TINT!

Does the rear window tend to stay a bit blurry after tinting? I had my GS tinted last week and it's not as clear as I had hoped. I thought maybe it needed to settle in (instructions say 2-3 weeks) but it's been high 90s every day so I would think it's as done as it's gonna get. I know the defrosters can blur headlights sometimes but I'm just wondering if I'm super picky or if I have a problem. They used FormulaOne by Llumar.

It should be clear by now. Mine was a bit hazy at first but cleared after a few days. You should take it back, most places carry and good warranty with their tint.
