Anyone tried "smart tint" on their car? That would be the best of both worlds. Here is a website: http://www.smarttint.com/
Ha, that's kinda cool. I watched their automotive video and they basically show you all the steps for installing any tint...and leave out the most important stuff, like how you handle the wiring. Since it has cables and requires power, it's implied the electric stuff must go through the door and roll up/down with the windows.
Here's mine with ASWF Performer 50% rear side & rear.
Thank you for posting this. I think the 50% looks great against the white 4GS. Nice ride btw! I like the subtle mods and the fact that you have a rare 4GS hybrid!
Does the tint look darker when you have the sunroof/sunroof shade closed and the pwr rear sunshade up?
I don't see a huge difference when the sunroof/shade are closed. 50% is - for me - the best fit because it's doesn't 'shout' too much and at the same time it looks good from the outside, allows excellent visibility while driving, and an efficient enough tint against sunlight and heat

Sorry for the newbie question - but, this is my first car that I will be adding window tint. Any suggestion on type and level? I hear ceramic and 50% is a safe overall balance?
Also, if anyone in SoCal has had a good experience (cost & quality) - I'd appreciate a recommendation.
Thank you in advance... luv this forum!

Will be getting my windows tinted as well in the next few weeks or so since it is getting much hotter in Los Angeles area. If anyone knows a good tint shop with lots of experience doing current Lexus GS cars please let me know. I have Atomic Silver and curious which type of tint to get. Not going to go very dark like limo, maybe 15-20%.
I have a 2014 fsport with red interior, nebula gray.
I went with 15% on driver side and passenger side windows, nothing on windshield and 5% limo tints all around the back. 3M ceramic tints.
I'm in california. Helps keep me cool in the san Fernando valley. West coast tint is the shop that did mine and it's a lifetime warranty.
I just took delivery of my 2019 lexus GS 350 FSPORT!!! Well the reason for this thread, is because I want to tint my windshield but the dealer said that because I have the lane keep assist and lexus safety system they told me not to do it because the "tint interferes with the sensors". Anyone that went ahead and tinted their windshield experiencing any problems? Thank you in advance.
I did get to read through the 4gs window tint master thread and I see some members have tinted their windshield but no mention if their car is equipped with lane keep assist and the lexus safety system.

They tint the inside of the windshield, but lay it on the outside first to make cuts. The tint installer would cut an opening for the front view camera, so it would not interfere at all. If I didn't have any inspection stickers on the windshield I would have tinted it 50 or 70%

Correct, you will be able to tint the windshield for sure. My friend has his Audi S6 windshield tinted and there are no problems,he has the driver assistance package which is similar to Lexus. I don't want to tint mine in fear of getting pulled over with the new car. What percentage are you thinking for your car.
