Is the 51/46 represent percentages given by the tint meter? If so, that doesn't seem like a lot. The difference could be attributed to a different roll of tint. I don't know. But 5 seems pretty small.
Can we get some photos so we get a better idea what we are talking about?

I agree the different of 5 on the tint meter seems small, but it is noticeable. I'll be going to the place that installed it this weekend to try to figure out the difference.
I'll post some photos tomorrow after I take them during the daylight. Not sure why I haven't taken any yet...

So its been a week since installation and the tint has dried. After looking closely at the tint in the sunlight it looks like the rear windows are more brown and the front windows are more green. The brown loos darker. Below is a photo take from inside the car against a white wall with the front windshield and rear window covered to greatly reduce the light coming in the car to influence the window's appearance.

That photo shows nothing. An exterior shot would put this all to rest!

Actually I think that shot shows a clear difference in light transmission. If I were you I’d probably go to the tint shop and show them the difference. The only way those two windows can look like that is if either the glass is different, or the tints are, or both.

With my polarized sunglasses i definitely notice a difference between the front and rear. I'm thinking the stock windows are polarized the same direction but the orientation of the tint on the rear is different from the front by 90 degrees. Might also be why it appears brown vs green.

I recall a discussion years ago about the dual pane window glass having a different color (green) compared to the other window glass.
I think you said that your car has the dual pane window glass on the front side windows. If so, I suspect the lamination layer used for the dual pane glass has a slight green color that makes it look different compared to the back side windows. Also, if you have dual pane glass it will naturally transmit a slightly different amount of light compared to the other window glass.

After finding another thread here in the LS forum...

...and calling a few tint installers with Lexus experience, the difference is due to the dual pane glass that Lexus uses in the front side windows. They will always look different than the rear side windows.

When the glass itself is two different colors or shades there's nothing you can do about that...

My 2018 GS F sport has factory smoked windows on the front and passenger windows. Is it worth tinting over the smoked glass? I know 3M makes that FX Carbon film that provides protection from the Sun.

As far as I know, there's no factory tint on Lexus sedans, maybe on the SUVs (privacy glass). Maybe your GS has dealer installed tint?
And tints do differ, there's dyed, metallized, ceramic and the new tech, 3M calls it Crystalline, Llumar Infrared, etc. All offer a different level of heat and light rejection.
Post some pics of your GS and the tinted windows.

No. There isn't "factory tint" on Lexus sedans in the US. If they are indeed smoked, I would almost guarantee the previous owner had the windows replaced and it's not OEM glass.
