Something like 88%. I don't know what Llumar is

I'm thinking about 35% front.

I saw the other post at 40% so it does seem a tab light (thanks for posting that tho).

35% all around maybe or
35% front and 30% rear or
35% front and 15% rear seems very extreme.

Suggestions?

Anyone used this?

The 2020 GS350 F Sport already has a tint so I didn't want it too dark to attract the cops.

Llumar STRATOS™ SERIES is expensive to have though.

This one did the 15% rear and 30% front (looks really dark from outside at times).

websurfer... what color GS did you get, interior and exterior? A lighter interior will make the tint a little lighter in appearance, vice-versa with a black interior.

Oops... just checked the tint receipt in my glove compartment... Stratos 30 on the sides, 15% rear windshield and sunroof. It was expensive, but since I'm keeping this car for quite a while, 10+ years, it's worth the price for comfort, and for the UV and heat protection.

Now I remember why I went darker... I had 50% Pinnacle on my last car, for 15 years, and I always wished I had gone a touch darker.

With a white car, I would go darker... the contrast against the white is a killer look... (imho). 35% all around if you don't want to go as dark as I did. Going 30% or 35% on the rear windshield, instead of 15 like I did, will also allow some light into the cabin making the tint look a little lighter.

I also got FormulaOne STRATOS about 3 years ago for my 2016 GS350 F-Sport here in SoCal. 35% tint all around excluding windshield and moonroof, cost about $600 installed with I believe lifetime transferable warranty. 35% is great as it is not that dark especially at night but sometimes during bright afternoon summer days wish I had gotten something in the 20-25% shade (unfortunately STRATOS only has 15% then 30% and nothing in between). I think on my next vehicle I'll get FormulaOne PINNACLE series 25% all around and 50% on the windshield to protect the whole interior especially the dash all the time from UV rays.

Here's the window film performance data for all FormulaOne window tint:

Well, I might do the 15 series or 30 series for the rear. I like the heat rejection numbers though.

Maybe 35 front, either 15 or 30 rear then. I saw a neighbor's BMW had the leather crack without any tint within a few years. Anyone has any problems with the product?

Looking at the specs, Statos the best one for the Forumula One Llumar line.

Default Xpel xr plus ceramic

Finally remembered to take some photos while the sun was kind of out. I got Xpel prime xr plus 35% all around and 70% windshield. Overall pretty happy with the results and heat rejection. During the day it does seem to let a good amount of light in but at night it seems perfect. If I could change anything I would had down the rear windshield at 20% instead.

Also keep in mind that from the exterior, a white car always appears to have darker tint (esp to law enforcement's naked eye). The interior color matters as well. With the rear sunshade up, its almost impossible to see through the rear glass tinted at 35%. Because the tint laws are a bit strict in my area, if i had to do it over, i'd probably go with 50% so as not to draw too much attention from the cops.

Also not sure if your state's inspection stations will fail you if your tint is too dark (something else to keep in mind).

Here are some shots of my car with FormulaOne Pinnacle Tint at 35% on rear windshield and all side windows. Note: I have a lighter interior (Flaxen):

Looks good. How much was it if you don't mind me asking?

Here's the performance data specification sheet for the XPEL Prime window tint for those who may be interested:

That's also the main reason why I chose 35% all around because I have black interior and the rear sunshade is always up during daytime, originally I was thinking of getting something a little darker for the rear windshield. With flaxen and other lighter colors, I would have probably gotten something a little darker. I think anything less than 15% is just too dark at night especially if you have them on the front side windows. I know some even have 30% or less tinted windshields, I think that is dangerous.

Here are a couple of shots yesterday. The first at 7:30am with the sun shining from the front right, through the windshield. The second at noon, sun directly above.

Stratos 30 sides, 15 on rear windshield, nothing on front.

I'm thinking getting tint also. Deciding between 30 or 35 llumar Stratos. There's a wait list until mid-Aug in my area though.
