IPhone IOS vs Android

My Sony Xperia Z1 Compact plays automatically after BT is connected and my old HTC One S did it too. I am using Google Play Music. When I played MP3 using native Sony app called Walkman it worked fine also. Car starts playing immediatelly using app what was used lastest on phone.
The negative point on Android devices for music is that album booklet isn't shown on car's display.

So that means the Samsung stock music app is junk cause that's the one I'm using and it's a no go.

Iphone 5 and 6 work flawlessly as advertised. Music pauses when ph. Is out of range and picks back up when back into the car.
Not as many features available on IOS vs Android. But that's Apple for you, they don't allow direct access to hardware.
I bought a Galaxy Tab 8 just for Carista and other apps that require direct hardware access to work. I have a lot of computer hardware and in many cases there are NO IOS apps that will work, but plenty Android apps!
BTW the Galaxy Tab 8 works just fine with the cars head unit using the default app

I've had no problems playing music from, or using, the phone with either iPhone 4s or 6 (iOS 8.1.1). I've not done anything with e-mail or messaging, so I can't comment on those. When I start the car, it detects the iPhone, syncs the address book, and will start to play, if that's what it was doing last. I don''t see any album art or photos of contacts on the car display - don't know if I'm supposed to...maybe just w/Android. There is something on the Lexus website that compares the features available with each OS, not sure where.
I've just started playing with the Enform software, accessing Slacker, Pandora, etc.via the iPhone. I've only done that a couple of times; once it worked just fine, but the other time it had problem connecting to the web site - maybe a weak signal??
