Lol! I like the way you think! !

Sure would love to see some close up pics of how these look and match up!

Also, did you have to drill the holes out further to get them mounted (per the instructions on their site)?

Don't make the holes bigger, there is something behind those holes that hold the screw. If u drill it then u'll destroy them and u won't be able to mount ur plate if u need to.

That's what I was afraid of, to confirm you were actually able to mount the bumperplugs without further drilling then?

Thanks pardner!

I don't have any plugs, I have a plate!! lol

But instead of making ur bumper holes bigger, maybe u can trim the plug? Cause plugs are cheap to replace if it's messed up but ur bumper isn't.

Mine are already drilled. But if pulling out one of the plugs would help I could give her a whirl. Or I could call my PPF installer as he took out all the plugs for the install.

My new proper color plugs are being ordered by my dealer

Hahha, darn good point there on mounting the plate at a later time.. it would be good to confirm though also as part of the allure of the bumper plugs would be little to no effort required to fill them holes and make them disappear in seconds...

Hey there Ryderx, did you have to drill out your existing holes at all for the bumperplugs, or did they simply stuff right into place and hold snugly?

I am still curious though, did you have to drill your holes out any further to install the bumper plugs?

I had another thought too, you can always reinstall a factory plate bracket instead of the tow hook thing using simple 5/16” nylon grommets from any hardware store. They would pop in where the plugs were, and there is a hole in the center for the screw, and as the screw is turned the grommets expand and tighten inside the hole.

I'm curious to know also. I took off my plate a couple weeks ago to assess the damage and saw this:

Looks like when they put in the screws, it dis-formed the bumper by pulling it outward. How did everyone fix that that use bumper plugs?

Hey pardner, I used an exacto knife to carefully trim the bulging areas around the holes and get the bumper flush before mounting the plugs.

Also I did indeed drill the holes out larger (9/32 I believe, I had to go buy this drill bit) in order to install the plugs. They slipped right in nice and snug at that point..

I am quite pleased with the outcome, price, and ease of install. I do recommend the bumperplugs to any that have had their vehicles defiled by the dealer!
