No, I don't bother to carry in car to many variables in our state when it comes to guns.

No, it's rather difficult to do that legally in Canada.

I live in Tennessee and we are a Pro Gun state. We have the castle doctrine here and it applies to home, auto and public places so YES i carry a gun 24/7. Even though my state is open carry state i carry concealed.

I unholster my gun while in the car and i have a under steering wheel holster i use while driving for easy access. I reholster my gun on my person when i leave my car. Where i work its gun friendly and most of my employees carry one too.

I think there are too many risks involved to just leave it in your car. Like they say if something bad could happend then it will happend unless you eliminate that possibility.

You know it. I find myself in some pretty sketchy places in the St. Louis area due to my business. Being in a nice car makes you that much more of a target.

WOW! Cool! Having a gun in the car. In Singapore we can't even have a knife in the car

That sucks! if I were a criminal, I would love to live in Singapore! You would be the first person I rob lol, just kidding!

Criminals/bad guys need to think twice before they rob anyone in Tennessee because the good guys have guns too!

A few years ago someone tried to car jack a man in town and the bad guy got shot! This criminal must be from another state because he clearly does not know our gun laws. Lol.

Same here, though a little different situation at work.

Remember in Singapore people get caned for spitting in the street lol. Not a lot of crime in Singapore, guns or no guns.

1. Low crime rate

Take a ride on the subway in Singapore and you'll quickly notice that it is only the tourists firmly holding on to their bags. The locals are very relaxed about their belongings and show no hint of fear that somebody might ****** their smartphone. Unsurprising perhaps when you consider that Singapore has one the lowest crime rates in the world.

Crime has fallen in each of the past three years. Last year had the lowest recorded crime rate in more than two decades - there were 80 days in which not a single robbery or "****** theft" was recorded.

Not only do you not need to worry about your belongings, your life isn't in very much danger either.

According to UN data, Singapore has the second lowest murder rate in the world (Data excludes tiny Palau and Monaco.) Only 16 people were murdered in 2011 in a country with a population of 5.1 million. Compare that to similarly sized Finland which had 116 murders and Slovakia with 96 murders in the same year.

You don't have to look that hard to discover why this might be, though. The little city state is well known for its harsh punishments for crime, even for low-level offences. Recently, a security guard was sentenced to three months in jail and three strokes of the cane for spray-painting "democracy" on a war memorial.

The police are also putting in place a network of cameras that will eventually cover all public housing blocks and car parks. In Singapore there are seemingly few concerns about "big brother is watching" when it comes to fighting crime.

I'm not saying I don't prefer the good old USA, but you said that "If I were a criminal I'd love to live in Singapore" because they don't allow people to carry guns. And in reality...Singapore has one of the lowest per capita rates of crime in the industrialized world...so if you were a criminal you would NOT love to live in Singapore...

I carry everyday and everywhere I can. It's always on my hip when I'm driving. There are places where I can't carry or choose not to carry, i.e. gym, so I have been looking for storage options for the car. I need something more secure than the glove box.

The rear seat fold-down armrest/cup holder has a console compartment that might be a consideration.
