The best kind of driving for break-in is probably a variation. You shouldn't flog it the whole time, but you shouldn't be afraid to have fun with it now and again in addition to regular daily driving. Being too easy on it or always driving at a constant speed is said to be no good because the piston rings sometimes don't expand properly without variation in rpm during break-in (this includes high rpm, which is why some folks say drive it like you stole it).
