I wanted the Candian Tech. package and the only one was 1000 miles away.
Of course the dealer wanted to sell me a car off the lot, but I wasn't going there.
They ate the $500 cost to have the car shipped, when I told them I would have the car serviced with them.

I felt I MIGHT get better service if I bought the car from the same people that would do the servicing ? Plus I saved a 6% sales tax as Ab. Is the only province without the dreaded sales tax

Only negative was the province it came from requires a front plate and we don't. So I've got holes in my front bumper They put plugs in the holes but not matching, so I'm awaiting the matching plugs.

Doesn't make a difference for service whether you bought it there or not.

Very true, with any brand. My dealer though won't give a courtesy vehicle if you don't buy from there, for oil changes.

If you have other options, let me know. I'm paying almost a grand for shipping. I only found one dealer so far with even a few Lux's.

For a new car, I'd happily get it from an out of town stealer. I just about did that a few years back, but my local stealer came to and matched the price. I would've paid a bit more from the local stealer out of convenience and to maximize any potential future goodwill by them to me.

For a used car, I'd never buy sight unseen. The definition of "excellent condition" can (and does) vary widely. It's way, way too risky for me. To that end, I flew out and drove my last car home to the tune of nearly 900mi (pretty much sucked going that far though).

Yes, Sewell is the only place I found luxury models "on the floor" and I'm working with Micah from that dealership.

He informed me that the luxury wheels (9 split-spoke) have been discontinued and all luxury cars have the premium 5 spoke wheels. Anyone believe this? Should I care?
