I was very disappointed, and unsurprisingly it looks like the GS is following suit.

In addition, the two lower air scoops look soft and weak, and too much like the RC-F's. I definitely prefer the sharp straight lines of the current GS F-Spot's lower intakes.

I still want to see some different angles, but I'm not liking what I see thus far.
You're probably not alone. While searching for some news, this popped up. Although this new design may steer some folks away from GS, some of these comments are just pure haters. IMO a smart move would be to make the F Sport look more like this new F and not so much on the std/luxury.

While I'm just not a fan of many of the bold new grills like this one, part of why I don't like it on the GS is that the rest of the car is very classy conservative and the grill looks out of place to me. Given the direction they seem bent on, the whole car needs to be more like the more contemporary angular styling of the IS for the grill to make sense.

That front end conversion won't be easy. Headlight and drl must be involved.

I just keep going back to the LF-Gh concept and how good the full spindle on that looked to me...the body there was pretty much the same as the production car:

This is what I was hoping for, put some real side view mirrors on it with a 500hp+ 400+tq motor under the hood and sign me up

Looks great.. a like it a little too much! (I wonder what the trade in value is on my GS :thumb up: )
Love the blue and the rims.

Watch, it won't be the GS and will be an ES F

I'm with you. The front end is very polarizing. But I thought the same about the IS at first but now I like it.

I've always hated the IS's lights. It's a shame because I actually like the everything else about the car. But no matter how many times I looked at the headlights (someone in my building has the new IS, so I literally got to take a good long look at it every weekday for a month) and it just looked so crazy every time. I knew it would never grow on me.

With that said, I saw the NX in person (from afar) and I actually liked how the lights looked. So it's not a problem of the DRL being separate from the main lights. It's about how the design is executed.

Hopefully the refreshed GS gets it right.

Added a couple indoor shots to the original post... One shows an "F" logo on the front caliper. Pretty cool

Here's a dose of reality on top of this super speculative topic

http://www.caranddriver.com/news/201...-photos-news-1

Seems like the swoosh is gonna be integrated in the headlamps after all.
