How to replace HID headlight bulbs?

Does anyone have a write up or can tell me how to remove the OEM HID headlight bulb? There seems to be a metal covering on the back side of the light that needs to be removed prior to getting to the bulb. Thanks in advance!

I think it's in the manual. Not 100% sure though
