I have a 2013 GS so maybe that's why I find the heat from the wheel more than adequate. Only wish for full coverage.
Same: it's adequate apart from the coverage.
Recently bought a QX60, and it heats the whole wheel. It's really very nice to have.
I understand it's not feasible with the wood Lexus wheels, but it would be a nice option in the full leather wheels.
Yup I concur with Eddie. I too got a 2019 ES loaner couple days ago. Try the heated steering wheel to see what all the fuss is about. It only barely get warm at 3 and 9. Not worth it in SoCal. The new ES is a real disappointment inside. Very cheap materials on the dash and panels compared to GS. I was so glad to get my car back same day.
thats my issue if they dc the gs. In order to get something that’s not entry level cheap quality stuff you have to upgrade to the LS. I thought the previous gen es has a better finish compared to the IS but now it’s the same and the ultra lux package doesn’t really make the finish any better. I hope Lexus doesn’t decide to become as cheap as Acura.
Enjoyed your post re: HUD install before seeing another post about a heated steering wheel you had. My question is related to both projects but different. My '18 GS 350 F Sport has a group of 3 switches at the left end of the dash. The buttons are VSC Off, Auto Hi Beam and Heated Steering Wheel. The location is shown in the attached pic. I didn't discover until several months after buying the car that none of these 3 features works. I have checked for a bad fuse without success and since the 3 functions are so different I'm not sure they'd share a common fuse anyway. So I would like to pull the switch module out of the dash and check whether a multi-plug is disconnected or ?? Can you advise whether the switch plate can be released and pulled into the cabin or must the dash be disassembled to access the switches? Any advice would be gratefully received.
