Our lexus keeps it value until you decide to trade it in at the dealer.....this is so true. I guess more accurately our Lexus keeps its value after a total loss due to an accident. My father bought a mint LS430 3 years ago for $21k and got into a wreak last year and insurance totaled his and wrote a check for 18k. So it only depreciate $3k. So thats $3,000 ÷ 30 months = $100 per month.

It's all about negotiating. I did very well trading my last GS.

Resale value is one of the many reasons why I bought the GS. I generally keep a car 10+ years but with the GS I have a plan to trade it off in 6 years. 1.5 years down and 4.5 more to go. Hoping the Gen 5 GS brings a lot to the table.

There are a lot more factors than that. Location, competitors, supply/demand, etc...

You may be able to negotiate much better because you have 6 Lexus dealers in your city, whereas I have 3 dealers in a 150 mile radius.
