Default F sport brakes question / issue

Hey folks,
My wife drives our 2013 GS Fsport and it now has just over 30k miles. We bought it used with about 14k. Anyway, just recently, the car began to lurch a bit while braking more heavily. Its hard to describe, but you cannot hear anything unusual or feel anything different with the brake pedal. Its like the pads are grabbing then ever so gently releasing then grabbing. The feeling overall is very mild, barely noticeable but noticeable.

Thoughts? Could the F sport pads be wearing down already? Its winter here in WI, so I haven't had an opportunity to check them by taking the tire off.

Thanks!
Oh, love the GS F sport, great car especially having the Dynamic handling pkg

It's not the transmission downshifting is it? You might know how it feels when you downshift to a lower gear at fairly low RPMs and then coast downhill - the ground speed and RPMs will oftentimes increase just a bit (maybe a few hundred RPMs that feels like a mini-lurch) and then it backs-off.

I know what you are describing. I don't believe this is the cause being I had not noticed it before. I take my wife's car out somewhat often, so I would likely notice it then.

You will feel aggressive downshifting only in sport and sport+. Is it possible it was in one of these modes last time you drove it?

I specifically kept it on "normal" mode. I agree, when its in sport or sport+, that aggressive shifting is very obvious
