So, never used it, considering doing my logos and the chrome along the passenger windows. Not sure where else yet. But probably just anything that is chrome.
What are the consequences to using it?
Does it chip or peel easily?
Does it leave residue after being applied for 6 months?
I can tell you make sure to put 5 or 6 layers and make sure its dry in between coats. I just removed my plasti dip from my emblems on my previous car and I had a hell of a time because I did it 2 yrs ago with only a few coats. It took me forever to remove and it was a complete mess. I had to use goo gone to get it off.
Sharp lines like the Lexus logo and badging need the plastidip peeled while still wet? Or let dry fully then peel edges with tooth pick to get started? Please clarify for us newbies

Sorry, let me clarify.
For emblems all you need to do is mask off areas around it, spray 3-4 coats, then peel it off, youll see it will just peel off everything except the logo.
if you want to pin stripe or plastidip your bumper on 4th gen gs, you will want a nice sharp line, for those you need to remove tape while its still wet.

As everyone has stated it very easy to use and very forgiving. No real consequences it can be taken off. I will say that if you don't put enough layers its a real pain to get off. It's basically a spray on rubber sealant, there can sometimes be over spray which is why you mask off certain area's.
I've had it on my rear rear emblems for over a year now and it still looks good. Can't stress the application of multiple layers and masking. The overspray is a pain in the *ss. Make sure there's no sudden burst of wind when you spray it lol.

Masking is super important, but that plastidip is awesome, pretty easy to use and incredibly forgiving even if its your first time out spraying something.
You should play with it, but you might go plastidip crazy once you start
After 4 weeks of talking about it, I've finally gotten around to plastdipping my rear logos and chrome bar above the camera. All in all it took about 2 hours including drying times and I did 5 coats. I'm sure it was a little overkill to do 5 coats, but it made the peeling process easier. i did have some over spray areas and while i had to use a little elbow grease, i was able to clean everything up with a microfiber towel. Here are the pictures:
Make sure you clean all of the badges thoroughly.
Mask off all of the area around it so you don't have to worry about overspray. Leave space around each badge though for the peeling process.
First coat is supposed to be a light coat, only about 50% coverage.
Second coat
Third coat
Forth coat
Fifth (final) coat
Make sure to let everything dry properly before peeling off the tape and excess plastidip. The plastidip cut nicely around each badge.
I used a safety pin to remove all of the closed off areas like inside the logo and inside of the 0 in 350
I also sprayed my license plate frame from the dealership but I wanted to leave the Lexus part in chrome so I masked that part and sprayed. Make sure to remove the tape while the final coat is still wet on something like this.
If you guys have any questions, feel free to ask. Good luck with your projects!
I wrapped my trunk lip with 3M just as I did my front bumper centerpiece. I also 3M carbon fibre wrapped my exhaust tips and they look far better than I think plastidip ever could.

I considered that too but don't think my quality would be that good.
