Leasing it ---
Haven't changed it yet but i have free service and oil change til 20,000 miles so the dealer will do the oil changes at 10,000 miles and 20,000 miles, then it will be time to return it.
I do not see an option on the poll that applies to me

And, while thats true...he drives expensive cars so I don't understand at least paying $10,000 a year to drive a car and driving around in a filthy, disgusting car all the time. If its just a rental car, why not drive a Camry or something?

You joke but I know a guy who leases and never gets the oil changed, never washes it. He adds oil when the oil light comes on. At the end of the lease he usually has about 50k miles, never having changed the oil or having washed the car. His response is "its a rental car". And I do agree with you. If that's how he feels about his car, he doesn't even deserve a newer Camry. More like a 15 year old Kia. Or nothing at all.

While that's not unheard of, it definitely makes the person look like a dumb ***. Sure I don't love my car (I really like it!) and I don't get attached to it because it is just a lease but I still respect it because I'm very thankful to be able to afford a lease that's more than anyone my age is paying for a car they will own someday. I do take pride in my car. I just don't let it sleep in my bed. I guess I'm saying this because in another thread I have made the comment that resembled the guy you just mentioned. I can't stand when people have that mentality. Take pride in the things we are all fortunate to have
