AWD Staggered wheel setup
Wondering if anyone has had any issues with their 4th gen AWD GS with a staggered wheel setup?
I just purchased a set of 20" Vossen CV5 20x9 in the front and 20x10.5 rear. The guy at the tire shop told me this will destroy my transmission. I've also read that it doesn't matter as long as the wheel diameters are all the same..

With staggered wheels you get more grip and better handling on RWD. When it comes to AWD, it really depends. For instance, Lexus AWD system has 30% front / 70% rear power distribution, so you still get some benefit of having staggered set up, because the rear wheels get more power to the wheels. However, for daily driving I don't see any advantage, its mainly just for looks. Yes, you lose the ability to rotate tires with staggered setup, but you can still flip them.

Staggered vs 19x8 all around vs 19x 9 all around on GS 350 RWD
Below is the link to the wheels that I like for my first Lexus that I bought last week. It is nebula dark gray with silver wheels GS 350, 2013. I am trying to make it look like the F sport.
Can any of you give me an opinion on what set up I should consider?
a) staggered 9 inch 265/35/19 inches the rear and 8 inch in the front 235/40/19
B) 9in wide all around 265/35/19
C) 8 inch all around 235/40/19
I hope that Sewell will honor their discount price for the wheels before they close their online store.
