^^I agree with that.

Hey, I'm usually thrown off my horse before it stops!

I'm betting its that the door was open before shutting the car off.

Next time it chimes like that... push on the door switch once. The chime will go away.

But I've opened my door or let my passengers out before shutting off my engine and never hear a chime. The car was still in gear too.

Mine only chimes a few times when I step out of the car with the key while it's still running or in the ON position.

Try this... start the car... keep the driver door open... let the car do its check... once the check is done... shut off the car with the door open. That's the chime. Now push the door pin. It will stop.

The triple beep you hear when you walk out of the car while it's running is the car telling you it no longer detects the key.

Same here.

I forget if there is a chime alert/reminder to set the parking brake if it isn't set to do it automatically. That's all I could think of, other than the normal things like a door being ajar or window roof open.

The OP said that everything is 'closed up'.

It looks like time to make another video of my car. I'll call this one "The Chimes."

If the car is on, opening the door will not cause the chime.

Was the driver door open when you pushed the ignition button to turn the car off? Keep the DRIVER door open THEN turn the car off.

No, he said everything is "Closed up" in reference to a question whether his sunroof or window was open.

He said the chimes stops when he closes the door. Try not opening the door until the car is fully off. See if it still chimes.
