Works in iPod mode on my '14.

Or you can hold down the Mode button on the steering wheel for a second or two. It will mute the radio. To unmute just hit the volume button.

On the 2015, that actually pauses live radio. I think it will record for 15 mins. It also pauses music on devices.

I knew about the pause button that SNiiP3R nicely showed us a picture of, but I was trying to figure out how to performance the same function without reaching super far/taking my hands off the steering wheel.

This is why I love CL! Never would have discovered little things like this.

I have found that when coming back to playing after pausing live radio I often don't get surround sound but classic 80s am radio sound... so for now wont be using live music pause.

I tried using the Play/Pause button to Mute while listening to SiriusXM and it worked fine. I used it 3-4 times and I didn't lose the Surround Sound - all my amplifier and speaker settings appeared to remain as I had them set.

I had to really stretch a long, long way - maybe as much as 10" up from the gear shift ****. My shoulder is still sore...
