Unfortunately I can't get this feature to work on mine. Nav. manual says this works in some major cities and I'm in central Illinois, not a major city. Unless I'm missing something?!

Make sure your navigation is up to date. You will have to ask the dealer to check.

Bought it new 12/17, It's a 2018 and don't know if it's out of date by now or not?!

:/ If that's the case it's not out of date; they just changed the nav system. I would call the dealership and ask them to demo the features of the nav system to you. I just took my gs in for service and got a 2019 es as a loaner. It took me 30 minutes to figure out how to get carplay and everything else working the way I want it. Lexus nav and infotainment is not intuitive.....

Since you aren't in a big city that they have taken the time to render the buildings, you probably won't see it. Take a trip to Chicago or other major metropolitan and see if it works there. I am in LV where it works, but if I go outside of the city to Mt. Charleston, there are no buildings that show up. They don't have the capacity to render every building in the US.

Default Dynamic Rear Steering

Update: Just tested heavily, it rotates the car in S+. Previous: I haven’t had the opportunity to exploit it yet, but was stoked that rear steering came with my “new” 2015 Atomic Silver GS350 F Sport.

I couldn't find that option on my 18 either. So after going through the menu options several times, I stumbled upon it in the Setup menu, here's a clip from the manual below. And it seems that 3D maps are only available to select cities, I've never seen any 3D imagery in South Florida, I hope this clears it up for you.

Thanks for the info. Going to Chicago in a few days and I'll see if it works there. It's a pretty neat feature to have if you live in an area where you can use it.

Now I can't get weather radar which is supposed to be free via the weather channel. It keeps saying no data available try again later. Would this be the same reason no 3D since I don't live in a larger city?

I don't think one has anything to do with the other. The Weather is known to go down from time-to-time.

You should be able to get 3-D NAV (where you can see building elevations, etc. on the screen) when you get near or into a large city. Many people don't keep their NAV screen on the 3-D setting because it somewhat distorts the map image when you're just traveling from Point A to Point B. However, temporarily using 3-D can be helpful when you are amongst many tall buildings trying to find your way in a large city you are unfamiliar with.

Guess I'll keep trying then. I do like the fact you can monitor radar while your traveling. Didn't know radar goes down from time to time. Thanks bc!

Do you have to have XM to get the radar weather map? I still can't get the radar to show. It keeps saying no data try again later.

I didn't realize we had a weather map, cool! I've used the "Current Weather" option but never paid attention to the map. How cool. @charley95 As the video mentions, it should be subscription free.

Spoke with a tech. specialist about this today. Central Illinois doesn't have enough HD towers to support this feature or the 3D maps.
