2015 4GS -- Electronic Parking Brake manually released. Still needs dealer reset?
I've found a few references to the electronic parking brake on the GS350, and how if you manually release it, you need the dealer to reset the system.
Some people say the owners manual even says that you need the dealer to reset it.
My 2015 manual says no such thing. SO, was that dealer reset changed in newer model years? Basically, if I release it manually, the car will automatically figure it out and reset the system? Has anyone tried it?

When they mention manually releasing it, I think it's in reference to literally, manually releasing it in the event of a dead car. Since it's an electronic actuated emergency brake, there has to be a manual mechanism to release it.

Yes, right.. If you use the screwdriver attachment to manually release it because your battery died, for example...
