Default The "elephant" in the room?

As most posters are agreeing, both cars are good choices depending on your likes and dislikes.

No one has commented on the biggest difference between the cars...The Audi supercharged V6 just hauls butt!

During my test drive, I just couldn't get over the ease which the Audi accelerates. I later googled a car mag review (Motor Trend 2014) and it test clocked the Audi 0-60 at 4.8 seconds. Yikes! I'm not sure I believe the accuracy of that test. After all, 330hp doesn't seem to be enough power to haul a 4000 lb sedan to 60 that fast. But my personal butt meter sure felt the torque and power more than the GS by a wide margin.

Will that compensate for the lack of standard features or conveniences between the two? Or the reliability reputation between the two? That'll be a debate I'll have with myself the next time I cross shop the GS. The most interesting argument for me will be the 2016 GS F V8 and the current Audi S6 (4.0 V8)

330hp wouldn't be...but I've heard Audis with that engine dyno 330-340hp at the wheels. That engine is seriously underrated. If the GS 350 was supercharged...well, for me at least, it would be no contest. No way I'd go for the A6 in that case. But that engine in the Audi is sweeeeeet.

The key to those times is the near instant torque and AWD. And yes, the car feels a lot faster than the GS.

It is all relative to what he would purchase it for through Audi. The salesman actually told me to go to the Apple store because the adapter sold through Audi is so expensive.

Yes, it does. My gf used to brace herself when she heard the sound in my GS when I floored it. Now she literally grips the console and door handle when she hears that same sound in my S5. It hauls!

Default Agreed

I will give the audi that. It goes. And that 8 speed..I was doing 80 mph at 1500 rpms. But living in Chicago you rarely get to rip it open. And I drew all types of attention from youngsters trying to race. Without a front plate on the audi looks very aggressive. the first thing I did the day I bought the GS was take it to the shop to paint that stupid cross bar they run across the front of the grill black. It blends better and makes the grill look larger and more aggressive.
