Even with the opening smaller the missing fin and the end of the receiver looks terrible. What a factory hit setup should have is a cover like the towhook cover, that snaps into place, so the whole rear valance is in tact when there is no receiver hitch.

It's a pity the GS OEM uses these strange looking European hitch designs that resembles a horses ****, rather than simple Toyota designs with a square hitch cover.

2" square tubing hitches are illegal in Sweden.
For an absolute unkown reason, they aren't legal. Probably because they aren't certified or some BS like that.

But I run it on my cars because they're simply better and cheaper than what ever cast iron **** hitches we have here.

Interesting... could have sworn my manual said you're not supposed to tow anything with it... It's an AWD model not sure if that matters.
But I could be wrong.

USA says no tow, Europe they say tow. The engine, transmission, and brakes are more than enough to tow. Just get an aftermarket tow hitch rated for whatever your towing. I think for the GS it's Class II hitch(3500 lb), higher than that would be custom job because it would have to mount to another part of the frame, not just bumper.

My brother towed a fully loaded 6x12 uhaul trailer, with a Honda CR-V that has a 2.4 liter engine, that makes a lot less power than the GS. It was a couple K over the manufacturers tow capacity for the CRV, from NY to Georgia, no issues. Just leave more space from the car in front of you for braking, also accelerating is slower so drive accordingly.

I don't like how close the ball is to the car. It also eliminates the possibility of hitch mount accessories.
That said, at least I wouldn't scrape 3 times a week which I do currently with my under the bumper tow bar...

What’s the part number for hidden hitch? I can’t find the manufacturers website or any info for the 2013 Lexus GS.

[QUOTE=kmm;9389259]I started a new thread for those who might not know this thread exists.

Here are the same pics for folks that followed the long journey in this thread...

This hitch looks perfect for a GS350. Can anyone share the brand of hitch and where it can be purchased online etc? Thx.
