Default I wish we had better engine options

Gs350 is fine then the f sport with more power like http://www.topspeed.com/cars/car-new...-ar168345.html and better sounding then a serious GS F with 600+ hp

Cadillac is posting future engine 3.0 twin turbo 400 hp. Sigh smh

They should still make a IS F, giving the four door option to the RC F.

Sry had to let that out.

I think we've all felt this way!

It would be nice to have:

GS- More modern version of current engine
GS Hybrid- Hybrid of GS
GS Turbo- Turbocharged version of GS
GSF- Tuned up GS Turbo with other performance upgrades

I figure if I have the car for long enough, I'll eventually do something ridiculous to it. Perhaps like that Supra where the guy is dropping a Sequoia V8 into it.

I found the other day that completely disabling the traction control (while stopped, hold the button for 10 seconds or so) lets the car get a little more wild. Transmission stops bogging 1st gear to prevent wheelspin so you can floor it and get the rear to squirm, etc. With Sport+ engaged, of course.

Still, it sucks to see Cadillac and others getting more and more powerful while we have relatively slow cars with old engines that get shared across the entire line. Even the F series shares the V8. Can't complain about highway mileage, tractability, or anything else really though, it's a nice drivetrain but it needs more torque and hp.

It's a tradeoff.

The Cadillacs may get twin turbos, but they'll likely also be getting more visits to the dealer too. I know someone that had a newer Cadillac and they always got it 'checked out' at the dealer before going on a road trip more than 100 miles.

They sound like a complete retard then. I have owned several GM products and have only been stranded once due to a water pump. Not a fanboy, that just sounds ridiculous to get your car "checked" before a trip.

lol I remember those days, if my family had 1.5 hour drive, dad would check all the fluids, tires

That's different than going to the dealer because you think your car is unreliable.

We had an old Buick Century back in the day and we only got stranded once due to radiator fan not working for some strange reason. Car ran like **** for the 10+ years we owned it but it never left us stranded until that day. Luckily we were by lake Michigan and Dad sent my brother and I with two 5 gallon buckets and we walked about a mile each way for some cool lake water. The walk back was quite hard as 5 gallons of water is quite heavy when you're 12 years old. LOL

Dont forget about the Fun Full Throttle mode GS has!! I too was very disappointed untill I found full throttle.

The only US automaker I absolutely hate and I think is the worst us brand in reliability is Dodge. chevy is even better, but visually look disgusting
