^^LOL

DD my car about 50 miles round trip each day. How I see it, is if I'm going to be in my car that long every day, it might as well be in a car I enjoy. If the miles get too high, F-it, trade it in for a newer one!

My only ride at the moment and I rack up the miles. The record setting winter we had really put my Vivica to the test and I couldn't be happier with the AWD performance in the snow. Bought her used last year with 21k and just reached about 44k on her. She earned a pair of new shoes for the spring/summer. But I also am thinking about buying a second car or maybe leasing something as I'll be able to stay within the mileage as I own the GS(eventually).

I drive a beater to the train station, which is about 7 miles away. Then I ride the train into work for free (perks of working for Amtrak). I use the GS for everything else besides work. That parking lot is a gauntlet, no way I'd park my baby in there.

Mini's have a very poor reliability record.

my beater is a Mini Cooper S (r56)

i missed having a manual (drove an s2000 before the gs) and was racking up so many miles on the GS, i decided to get a fun beater. if you get a cooper s, you've got to stay up on all of the maintenance and little problems before they become big problems. but for me, that's part of the fun.

i have to be frank, the gs is just another mass production mid-size sedan. it's a nice car but i wouldn't care about it like no tomorrow. mine is parked outside 100% of the time and it's my daily driver (well that's the whole reason i got the car anyway). it does make my daily driving easier

My DD is a work truck so the GS only comes out for fun and good weather. Doesn't go out in the snow or salt at all, kind of silly its AWD but that's all they have here.

This just in from the wife, it's official. She thinks we should put the money towards home renovations (of course she does ).

I don't put that many miles on my GS. Probably about 12k/yr is what I'll average in it. I just want a little toy car, that itch. I always get the itch lol

I don't get why someone would not drive the GS as a DD. It's comfortable, roomy, not too flashy. Now if we're talking about a >100K sports coupe by all means get a DD. A GS? It'll probably last 200K or more with normal use, no need to baby it, and easy enough to replace if it gets a little dinged up.

Yup it's my daily - if I wanted a toy car or fun car I would have bought something more sporty. The only reason I have a GS is I wanted a good all season daily driver.

Not kidding. I take the bus to work everyday. I only drive my car on weekends and every other day when I go to the gym.

I DD my GS but I just drive to the subway which is only 3 mile. I'm thinking getting JZS160 GS or get another 240 for a DD car but I'm scared.I might end up modifying those cars.

I miss my fiance AP1. Such a fun car to drive in the track but sucks in drifting lol

Couldn't have said it better myself. It's a nice car, a pretty damn good compromise on the sporty side of a mid-sized sedan, but ultimately just a rear wheel drive luxo Camry =)

Not DD'ing this vehicle is missing out!
