Are we considered your family too, Steve? I thought you traded in your Jeep! I was out for lunch. There was a spot right in front of the restaurant so I decided to park there. I usually parked far away from entrance but I wanted to have a good look at the car. I must admit I still like the look of it but I want something new. Really look forward to the refresh. I hope it pleases the eyes so I can stay as a GS owner. If not I'm heading to the quiet forum
I remember that when the 4GS first came out with the aluminum trim. My glossy linear espresso wood doesn't cause any glare.
the latest system being slow is a well known issue among the lexus lineup. started with the 2014 IS and now on other models too. i think in the beginning they had a fix that made things better on the IS, but still the system is noticeably slower than say the 2013 GS (older system)
i can't recall how the glossy wood is, but the fsport i worked on glared so bad i couldn't see the side mirror at all. again it depends on the time of the day and the direction you driving. as soon as i made the turn it was all good.
My trim glare all the time. Sometimes it's hard to see my mirrors when it's glaring.
Yes, I remember that. The aluminum trim would always show up in my driver's side outside mirror during certain times of the day. I'm almost expecting Lexus to change the trim in the '16 model but we'll see.

maybe they have learned by now why the trims shouldn't be angled up
Has anyone tried applying some kind of anti-glare film on the trim? I've had a few close calls because I couldn't see the objects on my side view mirror due to this glare.

did they add any new features that made the system slow? I have a 2013 GS and its blazing fast but I am not aware that 2015 infotainment added anything.
