Lexus Keyfob Glove
Maybe this is a stupid question, but it has really been bothering me since I received the keys to my 4GS:
Why is there a looped string on the keyfob glove? It seems too long for it to be a place to attach your other keys and there are already spots on the actual keyfob for that anyway.

Funny, my lady and I just talked about this today with her F Sport. We think it's for the valet stored inside of the key. We attach it to the cord and all hard keys to the metallic portion of the remote. Honestly, I dont know haha.

It covers everything including the side that sticks out, better for drop and scratch protection and it also has a cutout on the back for the L logo. I got the black one from the dealer and it's about the same price as eBay.

Keep in mind ... the metal key is what you keep with you. That key secures the glove box and the trunk release. You only leave the electronic key with the valet.

I do believe the design is literally just to:
1. Hang your keys
2. Twirl them around your finger like others have said.

I bought the rubber glove from Sewell a few months ago for around $10, but switched back to the old one immediately. It attracts lints especialy when you're taking it out of your pocket. One good thing: it never slips away from your pocket.
