Default Rear window sun shade broke. Need directions for install.

Just purchased a 2013 Lexus GS 350 Luxury with 22,000 miles. I took it to Lexus service for a recall and the rear window shade was not closing on one side. Service declined to cover it under warranty because they claim it was broke by a child or person. The estimate was over $1500 for the repair. I purchased the GS 350 at Manheim using me dealer friends incense. The inoperable rear window shade was in the condition report but I never thought Lexus would not repair it under warranty
I picked up a used window shade for $100 and now need the directions to install it. Any help would be appreciated. PS Lexus advisor says 3 hours labor for the install
Thanks, Michael.

I think u have to remove the door panel for that. Try taking it to another dealer, sometimes u'll get lucky to get a nice service guy and he'll fix it under warranty.

Not the rear side windows. The back window above the trunk.

Oh.. then that's even harder. I'd just try different dealerships first before messing with it. 22K miles is still under warranty and it's far back nobody can reach that far.

Not sure how a child could reach or get back there to break it since its a small tight space. I agree with the statement above saying to try another dealer and get it covered under warranty. Play it off like it was working the other day and "all of a sudden" it broke. Good luck!

Yup, I scored a brand new tire (worth $400+) when my front tire's sidewall got sliced at the car wash. First dealer said they won't do anything to it cause it's not that dangerous. I said well F U! ur gonna wait till it blows up on me then replace it? Plus I bought the wheel and tire package and they won't do jack about it?! Then I went to another dealer and the guy replaced it with no hassle at all!

I was just parting out one GS... rear shade mechanism is hard to remove due to tight space in rear window area. That's very time consuming job require removing bunch of parts...

Tint your windows and no need for rear shade, that's would be my quick & cheap suggestion or try another dealer as suggested in previous messages.
