Squeaking form glove box area?
So, I think the glovebox lid, with the integrated air bag, is too heavy. My dash squeak around the glove box, particularly near the latch. I think the lid is too heavy and pulls on the latch, and this is causing some of the adhesive behind the trim to squeak. The noise stops if I (or the passenger) pushes on the area or if I open the glove box. Has anyone else experienced this? Any remedy?
Thanks

You might have the only one...

I've noticed the later models have a small piece of felt at each of the holes where the glove box latch engages. My 2013 does not have the felt, and I have a slight intermittent vibrating sound too. Not enough of a sound to make me take it in for dealer service yet though.

I have a similar rattle... mine seems to come from the trim just above the glove box though. I have yet to take the time to figure out how to remedy it though. I also have a rattle in the dash right above the navigation screen. Hopefully they will have easy fixes!

I fixed my glovebox rattle today. I removed all of the contents of the glovebox, and I also removed the shelf from the interior of the glovebox. I drove around for a while to see if it still rattled and it did not. I reinstalled the shelf and it started rattling, again.
I ended up putting some tiny pieces of gorilla tape around the "tabs" in the shelf where it inserts into the bottom and sides of the glovebox to tighten up the connection points, reinstalled the shelf and the rattle is completely gone.
