Battery dead, no manual key. Suggestions?

There has to be a way to get in the car. May be no way around the 'forced' entry method. Either way, get ready to dig deep. You'll probably want to get that key cut to avoid this again. Those spare fobs/keys are not cheap. Probably why whomever you purchased from had a blank.

Thanks guys. Oddly enough my dealership was open today (on a holiday). They can use my VIN to cut a new key with proof of ownership. Also some key code approvals from managers to corporate, etc.
What a headache. My timing is impeccable LOL

PS - Now, maybe the dealership can help explain why the battery went dead...

That happened to ours at almost exactly a year old when we were gone for a week. Search the forum and you'll find it's not uncommon. The factory battery is stupid expensive despite being a total POS.

I am pretty sure the dealer will have to cut the key. They will also ask for proof of insurance in order to verify you actually own the car. That way not anyone can just go get keys cut.
