Default AFTERMARKET Windshields

[QUOTE=LeeMarkus1;9950355]OEM windshield replacement cost too much than aftermarket because these are identical to the original windshield installed by the car factories.[/

I have replaced TWO after market windshields in TWO different Lexus LS cars I've owned. BOTH of them were NOT optically correct. I would be driving down the highway and "get dizzy" looking through a distorted area right in my driver's field of view. I paid "about" $150 or so a few years ago, installation included at MY location. If you are going to keep the car, I would try to get a OEM windshield. I will call my insurance agent, as I recently discovered I have a small crack crawling along the bottom of my Lexus LS-460. HOWEVER, I've never heard of insurance companies willing to pay for a OEM windshield. I had a friend that fought that battle. Good luck with your insurance and wish me luck IF I decide to replace mine. It's not obvious but just knowing it's there bugs me.

I've had Safelight windshields installed in three vehicles over the years.
The techs were skilled, the installs were well executed, and it was always less than $500 total.
They do the install wherever you want in less than two hours.

Edit: I never saw quality problems with the safelight windshields.

As have I, but they were NOT OEM windshields, thus the quality was CRAP. I got tired of being dizzy looking through the after market windshields they installed.

Same here, we use Safelite for our fleet and have never had a problem, the tech that installs our windshileds is excellent.
