Does Variable Suspension feature really do anything when engaged via S+ mode?

I had also read several reports from 2013-2014 that stated Luxury Packages do not have S+. I'm in no position to debate with owners who have confirmed Luxury Packages and S+ indicated on their console. I presume they also have the black, fist-sized, electronic damping adjustment mechanism on the top of their suspension towers.

Only bummer is that your selection of either S or S+ goes back to normal each time you start the car, but the economy does NOT reset to normal. I understand this is because the EPA numbers are based on normal setting. It's a shame that you can't get the suspension settings without the transmission shift patterns.
