I have the ML amp, does anyone know which wire are the front door (left/right)?

I've already tapped the subwoofer but my automatic LC2i turn on and off to the tune of the subwoofer. I would like to tap the doors to keep it on and also may take the door signal rather than the subwoofer so that I can get full signal.

DO NOT CUT these two wires, just splice them and tape the LOC wires to them per the instructions provided with your LOC. I used an old LOC that I had, but the installation should be mostly the same for others – below are the instructions that I followed:

Hello! I am trying to install subs in my 2009 GS 350 but I haven't been able to find a wiring diagram for the factory amp anywhere. Is there anywhere you would suggest going to find this?

Sam - I just traded my 2015 Crafted Line in for the 2017 GS350 and installed the sub again. I went ahead and took your advice and did a little more research. I was able to find the remote wire on the stock amp in the trunk and use that for the aftermarket sub instead of running a wire from the fuse box on the passenger side.

In the first picture below, I used the white wire on the small harness (harness closer to the rear of the car/amp). I spliced the wire further up from the actual plug as I didn't want to cut/mess with the foam guard around the wires (2nd photo - where the electrical tape is).

Hey, sorry, I am not sure where you could find that. Good luck.

Default Adding amp with integrated speaker level inputs

First post, previously just a troll lurking to get great info here. I'm adding an amp to a 15 GS F Sport w/o the ML. I have the Alpine MRV-500 that has integrated line level inputs. I saw the advice to connect to the sub out on the factory amp. I noticed that folks reference connecting to wires 6 and 21. Do I only need to connect one channel in to the amps integrated LOC?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

You should be ok just tapping the sub out on the amplifier. The subwoofer signal has pretty good coverage of the bass range, see post below for an RTA analysis of the signal coming out of the amp. If anything, you could introduce a DSP to refine the output further.

The amp supports line level stereo in, but is mono out. It's okay to just have the one channel of line level inputs in? I'm just confused as to why they'd take a stereo signal in to drive a mono sub.

Yeah that's not a problem. The amp will downmix the stereo into a mono output for the subwoofer.
