Driver memory seat
#31
Well just got off the phone with the dealership (live 4 hours away) concerning the sliding back of driver's seat setting and seat memory position. They just confirmed that if I choose the slide back option in the Nav settings, my seat will not slide back to my registered position when unlocking of driver's door. I will have to press my registered setting to get driver's seat back to my position from the slide back position. Not a big thing but like originally posted, I love both. So I will forego the slide back option.
If you use the NAV to program the seat to automatically move the seat partially or fully back when shutting Off the car (so you can exist the car easily), the seat will remain in that [NAV programmed] partial or fully back position when you lock the car, and then when you come back and unlock the car the seat will stay in the partial or fully back position so you can enter the car easily. Only when you turn the ignition On will the seat return back to your registered/programmed (1, 2 or 3) position.
Are you talking about after you 'manually' slide the seat partially or fully back - is when the seat doesn't return to the 1, 2 or 3 position when unlocking the car?
I'm not sure why you would expect the seat (which was programmed in the NAV to retract partially or fully) to automatically slide forward when unlocking the car. That would defeat the purpose of programming the seat to slide back partially or fully to make entering and exiting the car easier.
Are you talking about using two different Smart Keys?

My seat slides partially backwards when I turn off the car. I set it to move partially in the nav.
The seat moves forward when ignition is on and the steering wheel as well.
When I slide it backwards manually before getting out, the next time I open the door it slides forward and goes back to my preset position because I've linked my keyfob.
I'm loving this car even more now, so many hidden little tricks!

With your personal key fob you should be able to enter the car, put foot on brake and start the engine, and all your seat and steering wheel settings are automatically adjusted to your personalized and 'memorized' (to that particular fob) settings. And Driver #2 will have their seat and steering wheel settings automatically adjusted to their personalized and 'memorized' (to that particular fob) settings. Their should be no need to press Seat #1 or #2, etc. to adjust to your personalized settings after Driver #2 has driven the car 'if' you have programmed your fob to your particular seat position number.

Actually, if you press the unlock button on the FOB as you approach the car the seat will begin adjusting to you position as you approach the car. We don't have ours set to move the seat back when we get out, so,I suppose that could effect whether it works or not. But I do it all the time as its my wife's car and I only drive it on weekends.
