Leasing '15 end of the year
Hello all , looking for some advice. My current lease expires end of November. I would like to lease the gs350. I spoke to a local lexus dealer and he told me the deal right now is very good and he is not sure if there will be any '15 models left in November for such a good deal.
He couldn't answer my question so I would like to see if anyone can answer based on previous years. I assume the next event is December to remember, doesn't lexus offer same deals as during Golden opportunity for any '15 models left ? Is it common for dealers to have inventory of outgoing models in nov?

There will be 15 models left, even if u wait until next year, these cars don't sell like Corollas. But the color combo and option u want may not be available once they stop making it. I think the March Command Performance event is better than the Golden and December events.

Go on Autotrader and do a search of all Lexus dealerships within a thousand miles. You're bound to find what you're looking for. Create a bidding war when you do find some.

I am in the same boat as you, I spoke to multiple dealers and a lease broker whom I have worked with before. He confirmed the 2015 lease program has been extended to 9/8 meaning the deals aren't going to be much better between now and then, the $2300 lease cash is still available and the MF and Residual stayed the same as July.
There is STILL NO news or confirmation on MY' 16 changes and the order bank is NOT yet open, which to me means NO 2016 on dealer lots till at least Nov/December

If ur leasing u don't need to worry about model changes since u'll get another car in 2-3 years anyway. Just get the best deal u can, unless money is no issue to u and u have to have the latest and greatest model.

The 2016s will out by November. The lease deals on 2015s at that time might be a bit better, but even with a reduced lease price, the residual will be lower which will partially offset the lower price. And of course, you won't have much choice on colors, options, etc. with the 2015s. If I were you I would definitely compare the lease deals on the 2016 with the 2015 to determine if there is a worthwhile difference.
Personally, I've returned my 2013 and am waiting for the 2016s to lease again. It's strange because when I leased in 2012, the 2013s were already out by end of July. Not this year.

The reason I'm leaning towards '15 aside from a good deal is because I like the current grill, I heard rumors the '16 GS will have a grill similar to IS, and there won't be any power upgrades.

If you like the current design, trade your lease in and enjoy the new car. It may not cost you much or anything to get a new lease. I traded mine in for a 15. I pay fairly significantly less than my old lease. Take yours to Carmax to have an appraisal to get an idea and then take it to the dealer to see what they can offer you. If it's not that far off from your payoff amount, you can get a fabulous deal with color combo you want. Waiting until 16 is out may save you a bit more but you'll have to take what's left.

Keep in mind, if you go for a 15 and the '16 gets noticeable grille and tail changes, your car is gonna look dated the second you drive it off the lot. Most people don't buy the current model right before a mid-year refresh so they should be offering deals on them.
Then again, this is a low volume car and Lexus likes it that way, so they may not be encouraged to go out on a limb to move 15's while the 16's are being delivered. May be happy to have them sitting side by side on the lot.
If it was me, I'd hold out until there are solid, 100% confirmed photos of the 16 then move on it. December to Remember is usually decent although the Command Performance event next year may be better. It's your money at the end of the week, so do what you like.
