Default New tires for GS- can I go wider?

Hey all,
I need to replace my Cont tires on my 13' GS350 with the 18" rims. It appears I need 235/45r18 size and have narrowed it down to these 4 in order of preference:

1: Michelin Super Sport
2: Bridgestone S-04 Pole Position
3: Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3
4: Bridgestone RE 760

Apparently, the S-04 PP which got great reviews and are nearly $360 less than the Super Sport don't come in the 235/45 size. They do however come in a 245/40 which is very nearly the same size and has only a .977% difference on the speedometer. Is there any issue with switching to these all around? Or could I stagger them and go wider in the rear- something like a 245/40 front and 265/35 rear? I do not want to change the rims/ suspension, ect. at this time.

Thanks in advance for you help,
Aaron

I believe you can just remember if you go shorter than stock in the rear you put miles on odometer faster & run out of warranty faster. You just need to verify recommended rim width for 265 tire, I would think 9" with 8" minimum.

As long as you stay within 3% of the OEM diameter you're fine.
