Car and Driver included a bit more info.
"While stirring the GS pot, Lexus cooks sprinkled additional spices throughout the entire 2016 menu. The essential spindle grille and various front and rear design details are fresh, the selection of 18- and 19-inch wheels is new, and the color palette has been expanded to a full dozen hues."
"Inside, leather color and trim selections are broadened. Aluminum scuff plates adorned with the Lexus logo sparkle at every doorsill. There’s a memory mode for the driver’s seat position, the exterior mirror settings, and the steering wheel’s location. Lexus Enform Service Connect has also been added to convey welcome messages and other greetings from home base. Security is enhanced with two-stage unlock, trunk-open, and panic-mode features; the reassuring confirmation tone’s volume is now adjustable. There’s also a new Lexus Safety System+ option that combines automatic braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning with automatic steering assist, intelligent headlamp high-beam control, and radar-based cruise control."
I know the latter quote has stuff from Autoblog as well, but I thought I'd place these snippets here for quick glancers.

You might be surprised by the 200t. Have you driven the NX200t? Or other 2.0T midsize sedans like the CTS 2.0T? The turbo is peppy, and it feels quicker than it is...

I like it! Quite certain this will be my IS replacement!

I have driven the NX200t and to me it feels slow. It doesn't have the pull like my 350.

Well its certainly not going to feel as quick as the 350. Thats why the 350 is the upgrade engine.

I think the 200T is perfect for those of us who are more concerned about fuel economy but don't want to go hybrid. Plus the torque is still decent on it. SW15LS is right, the turbos are peppy. Commuting between OC and LA, I'd rather have the turbo to get better MPGs and still have a quick start off the line.

If they up the 350 torque to 300 it will be gold.
It's good that they use the new steering wheel like the new ES instead of the GSF's cause that one looks like the one in my CT! Looks cheap.

I think the new Nav looks great...

To add a bit to the information, and this is from a source at Newport Beach Lexus, the 2016 GS line will come to dealerships in late October or early November. This essentially follows last year's timeline.

Makes sense...

From the C&D Article:
They're on crack if they think it will be that cheap LOL. Thats cheaper than the ES! I'd buy low 40s.
While prices won’t be announced until this family addition arrives in dealerships this fall, we’re expecting a base sticker in the mid-thirties

And why is it heavier than the bigger 350?

I'd agree. the current F-Sport with ML and decent options is about $58K right now so mid $30K seems way too low. $40-$50K sounds right depending on options.
