$200 to spend anyway I want.
Thanks for the detailed write up

+1. No need to turn unless you warped them, ie vibrating when braking from high speed, or the pad sensor has not touched yet.

Thanks for the post, the simplicity of your explanation gave me the confidence to do this myself. I wasn't sure where to apply the brake grease so I put it on the backs of the shims, no problems when I took the car out for a test drive.

Today I wash the car and hope I see much less brake dust this week. Are one brakes were slightly less grabby than the OEMs which is better IMHO.

I'm going to be changing my pads real soon. Is there anything of 4 pot brakes that need to be lubricated? I know on regular brakes you can lube up the slider pins but I don't think these brakes have them.

Hey guys, have a 2015 fsport gs350 and just changed the front breaks to the akebono proact pads, I installed them and there is a squeal at low speeds and light breaking. Any tips on how to get rid of it?

did you put the grease on? Also you will need to resurface the disc if it is still within the spec.

I changed the front pads too but kept the oem ones reading about the reduced braking power. Didn't resurface the rotors and no squeaking watsoever.

Ok i used the crc stuff and it worked, for about 3 days then the squeal came back. took the car to a shop who said that the rotors need to be replaced, they dont reccomend resurfacing. Only rotors I can find that are 14in are the oem and the ebc RK7636X, it shows the ebc ones are 1-piece though, will these work? any other remedies to get the squeal to stop

Is your F Sport RWD or AWD? If you have AWD, then you should be fine with the 1 piece.
Autoanything shows that it'll fit:

I'm on my 3rd set of pads on my 16'.. 10k miles.. latest pads(3k miles on them) is the akebono proact pads, after 3 months the squeal is back.. i think the issue is the glaze on the rotors, in the past id just slap the pads on and let it be.. plenty of lub was used. My solution is to sand the rotors and pads to get the glaze off and see if this work.

the rotors are listed on ebc catalog and say they are 14" and fit the gs350 fsport rwd. i ordered them and will see if it works, hopefully they do because the oem ones are too expensive. even if they are one piece and they are made correctly they should still fit right?

If they are 14in and 5x114.3 spacing they should fit. Keep us posted and show pics of the install !
