They're supposed to be black. That coating will wear off once you brake pads touch the rotors. Put a side by side pic of the Original 2pc rotor and the EBC rotor before you install them I just want to see the comparison. Good Luck with your Install.

You can still use the Akebono Pads since it's been only a week. Barely Broken in.

No need to rough them up. A couple of firm stops and a couple of days of taking it easy on the brakes should bed in the new pads and rotors.

ok, so I tried installing the new rotors and figured out they sent me the wrong ones, I wish I checked the size prior to removing everything. Will contact them and see if this is indeed a mistake or if they dont actually have the correct size.

Thought so /: I've yet to see an aftermarket company that make 14 inch rotors for the GS350 F Sport RWD at the fronts

Hopefully EBC exchanges it for the correct size.

Just got a response from the vendor. they said that indeed I did receive the wrong part even though the box was marked with the right part number. they are sending me a pair of the correct size. I will update once received.

Just got an email saying that they will ship on the 7th of January. Not sure why it takes so long to ship replacements but we will see what happens when they get here

Wow! Those are an interesting looking braking rotor with the black coating. Must be for corrosion resistance?

Normally the purpose of 2-piece rotors is to reduce the weight by making the center "hat" from aluminum. If you use a heavier rotor ride quality will degrade, etc.
