Newfound respect for my GS

There is an enthusiast's case to made for having truly leading edge, super fast cars in your life (especially if you have a big garage and a big bank balance), but I'm to the point where I no longer care to pay a huge premium in purchase price and maintenance for performance that is simply not usable on public roads. I hate the driving-with-your-legs crossed feeling my E63/M5/RS7 friends complain about. Nobody tracks these cars, so all of that potential is completely wasted, unless you live somewhere you can use it.
This is why the current F Sport is my all time favorite daily driver. It's not a ticket magnet, but it's fast enough for anything you can reasonably get away with on a consistent basis. It's also almost unbelievably quiet and comfortable for a non-boring ride. My lease is up; I'm buying the next one so I can do some mild hot rodding, but stock out of the box it's a damn near perfect car for me.

I got the Euro Car Bug out of my system, my time is more important to me (instead of spending it in the shop or in a loaner). Time is money also.
Of my group of friends, I'm the only guy who's driving a Lexus. The rest are driving Audi's, BMW, Mercedes. When we talk about cars, they try to change the subject because they're tired of *****ing about reliability & maintenance issues (especially the Audi guys). But they still love their cars.
I guess their pain is their pleasure?

I worked at Keyes Audi, but I quit due to time restraints. I also personally know someone whose new A8 actually turned off while they were driving on the freeway, didn't end well but they were okay.
