These pads have rubber shims right? So no anti squeal needed?

The OEM ones have metal shims right? This is new to me.

Correct on all...I do put a thin layer of the grease on the shim, but would think either way will be fine...when you get the pads and compare the old ones to the new ones you will see...the c max are a much higher quality pad

Used autozone c max gold, it's their best pad, and I can say it's a higher quality pad then what was in there...

Almost zero dust, brake performance is just about as good, maybe a little less initial bite...all in all, very happy to once again fix a dirty wheel from brake pads problem again, this time I only waited 4 months!!

DGC1586 was the part I used...

Takes longer to take wheel off then it does to swap out the pads
Did you turn the rotors?

I got mine done! Damn these babies can bite! I think the stopping power is better than OEM, it bites more and smooth, no noise at all.

Old pads:

Hey I noticed that 2 has that metal clip and 2 don't. What are those clips for? I didn't pay attention when installing and they both went in fine.

Are there any good you tube videos for the replacement of brake pads?

Once u have the wheel off it really only takes 30 seconds to remove and reinstall the pads. I'm surprised this 60K car is so easy.

The rear is totally different. We need a DIY for it!

The clips are the feelers for when the pad material gets low.....

Must be good. Textar is the OEM brake pad manufacturer for many German and European cars cars. BMW, MB, Audi, etc.

Yes and that's why those cars also have the same massive brake dust like ours.

Yes, here:

WHAT YOU NEED
-Brake pads
-C clamp
-Brake cleaner
-Pliers

Install time 45-60mins

Take wheel off

Ta-Dah!

Remove clip, then remove pin. Helps if you push down on the metal plate

Take c clamp to push together front and rear pads

Pads removed. Take this time to clean shims, clip and pin

Installed, reverse process and you did it

Super easy, I don't even change my own oil and felt this was a sinch. Saves you money, take for instance local Lexus dealer wanted close to 400.

I used Akebono ACT1118, highly recommend them. Better than Oem, no noise. Amazon.com: Akebono ACT1118 ProACT Ultra-Premium Ceramic Brake Pad Set: Automotive

I don't get the C-clamp bit.
